This section of Oreb extras starts off with the complete model sheet for "Manuel" - Tom Oreb's 1960 drawings of the character who would become Go-Go Gomez in UPA's THE DICK TRACY SHOW. Tom's work on UPA's TV shows was the last significant work of his career, and while not by any stretch of the imagination his strongest work, he was still producing solid designs during this era, this being a fine example. Next, is an undated gag drawing by Tom (probably late-'50s) which pretty much speaks for itself. The stark simplicity of the kid's design reminds me a bit of the kids in the fake commercials on THE REN & STIMPY SHOW.
